ML - 502 Constant Pressure System Oil Water Type Dead Weight Type Oil-Water Constant Pressure System is an extremely versatile apparatus, which can be used for a wide range of applications. This system provides an effective alternative to the accepted Mercury and Water Constant Pressure System where the use of mercury is objectionable and laboratory headroom is insufficient. The apparatus is designed to provide confining pressure upto 20 bar (20 kg /cm2) to Triaxial Cells. Features Use of Mercury is eliminated Maintains Constant Pressure continuously Pressure Capacity, 20 bar (20 kg/cm2) Ideal for mobile laboratories Working Principle Constant Pressure is maintained in the system by balancing a set of calibrated weights on a spindle against a column of oil, operating under constant feedback conditions. Description The system consists of an oil pump, continuously driven by an electric motor during the entire period of operation to maintain the desired pressure. The piston, upon which the weight acts, rotates with minimum friction. A transparent oil-water interchange vessel is provided to transmit pressure to the test apparatus. A hand pump is provided to facilitate priming and to maintain pressure during power failures. A strong compact housing protects the internal components Specifications Range: 0 to 20 bar (0 to 20 kg/cm2) Steps of pressure: 0.5 bar (0.5 kg/ cm2) Accuracy: ± 0.5% Electric Supply: 230 V, Single Phase, 50 Hz, and AC Supply Supplied complete with Pressure Gauge, Flow Valves, connecting Pressure Hose and set of Weights to give maximum pressure of 20 bar (20 kg/cm2). |
