Description
This UV-VIS Spectrophotometer, is a rugged, cost effective, work horse
type semiautomatic microcontroller based version of Spectrophotometer
introduced to fill in the need for routine analysis where variation
of parameters is very critical.
Principle of Operation
A selectable light
beam in Ultra-violet or Visible spectrum from the Light Source gets
focused on to the entrance slit of Monochromator. The incident beam
of light gets tuned to push-button-settable wavelength by motorized
slewing of the holographic grating and reflecting optics in Czerny-Turner
mount and emerges as monochromatic light of narrow band width from
the exit slit of the monochromator. Transmitted portion of this monochromatic
light through the medium is detected by a wide range Photo-detector.
The output of Detector-Pre-Amplifier is processed and the Absorbance
/ Concentration / Percentage Transmission of the medium is displayed
on the Readout of the instrument.
